03 Protect National Infrastructure Networks
£0.00Price
This case study looks at how we model the flood risk and estimate flood damage across thousands of assets comprising a national transport network. We show in this case study a repeatable network-scale method that can screen every asset consistently, identify concentrations of economic and operational risk, trace those risks into upstream catchments and prioritise nature-based investment alongside conventional engineering. We conclude with developing an investment case to proiritise where NFM could help prevent future asset damage due to flooding. This case study is highly relevant to rail network provides and train operators as well as national highways and regional roads.
